Death dosen't make someone god

On Android:

Steve had vowed "I'm willing to go thermonuclear war on this," and "I will spend my last dying breath if I need to, and I will spend every penny of Apple's $40bn in the bank, to right this wrong". --- Steve was reported as having sworn to "destroy Android".

On Bill Gates:

Jobs saying of Gates: "Bill is basically unimaginative and has never invented anything, which is why I think he's more comfortable now in philanthropy than technology. He just shamelessly ripped off other people's ideas."

This comes from a man who didn't spare a penny for  philanthropy.

This is how great people reply:

"I don't think that's something we need, some wealth to find root for that one out of a million type person. For most people being able to do mathematics, being able to read, these are great things, and our capacity for doing that needs to expand," Gates said.

Gates added of Jobs: "Over the course of the 30 years we worked together, you know, he said a lot of very nice things about me and he said a lot of tough things." Jobs was, indeed, mercurial. He explained: "He faced, several times at Apple, the fact that their products were so premium priced that they literally might not stay in the marketplace. So the fact that we were succeeding with high volume products, you know, including a range of prices, because of the way we worked with multiple companies, it's tough."

I hope you will reflect on what you've done with your talent and energy. I hope you will judge yourselves not on your professional accomplishments alone, but also on how well you work to address the world's deepest inequities, on how well you treat people a world away who have nothing in common with you but their humanity.

These are the words of a real human - Bill Gates.

Thanks for reading.
